8,000 attend Water Park Day at Circuit Festival
The world’s biggest international gay festival sees music and fun at the Illa Fantasia waterpark just outside Barcelona
Around 8,000 people attended the biggest party of the Circuit Festival on Tuesday; Water Park Day in Illa Fantasia, in the county of Maresme just north of Barcelona.
Music, slideshows and swimming pool fun were the order of the day at the Circuit Festival, the world’s biggest international gay festival that this year celebrates its twelfth edition. The festival lasts from the 8th to the 18th of August.
Today’s Water Park Day is also a part of the program of the Girlie Circuit, a festival similar to Circuit but for the lesbian public, that takes place in Barcelona from the 9th to the 13th of August.
"I’ve been watching the Circuit Festival on TV for years and thought that I had to come here. It's my first year and I'm delighted. The water park is huge, attractions, high-fives, people, very beautiful,” Julen said, who came to the event from San Sebastián in the Basque country.
