Guitars from iconic rock bands such as Kiss, AC/DC, Metallica and Queen on display at new Barcelona museum

Guitars from legendary rock bands such as AC/DC, Kiss, Metallica, Queen, Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd, George Harrison and Bono are the highlights of a new museum in Barcelona.  

The Guitar Legends Hall, which opens this Thursday in the city's Gothic Quarter, is an interactive space that offers visitors a journey through the history of rock.

The exhibition culminates in a virtual concert with holograms performing some of the most famous songs by these artists.  

The project is spearheaded by Juan José Castellano, a guitar collector who now wants to share his collection with the public.  

"We started collecting guitars seriously five years ago," he explains. "One day, while talking with my son, we thought about opening a museum, but we had in mind something small, without a lot of extravagance."  

The venue will also host various activities, including workshops and weekend performances by up-and-coming bands.
