"C'mon babe, why don't we paint the town? And all that jazz" will be stuck in the minds of many spectators who will be fortunate enough to watch one of the most famous shows on Broadway from the comfort of Barcelona.

Chicago: The Musical will be in the Catalan capital from January 23 to March 5. Tickets are already on sale online starting at €16.

The show will be held at the Tívoli Theater in Barcelona and arrives after more than 25 years of ongoing success on one of the world's most famous streets: Broadway.

Since premiering, the musical has received over 60 international awards from at least 30 countries, including six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, and one Grammy. More than 34 million people have watched the show.

Barcelona's Chicago: The Musical is inspired by the ongoing show at New York's Ambassador Theatre, with Teresa Abarca and Silvia Álvarez playing Roxie Hart and Ela Ruiz as Velma Kelly.

Famous Catalan performer Iván Labanda will play Billy Blinn. Víctor Conde will be the director of the show in the Catalan capital.

Chicago is well known for its tales of avarice, murder, and show business. It also has some of the most famous songs in the musical industry, such as 'All That Jazz' and 'Razzle Dazzle.'

The show takes place in the 1920s and explains the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and night dancer, who murders her lover when he threatens to leave her.

To avoid prosecution, Roxie lies to the public, media outlets, and other prisoners, such as roommate Velma Kelly, and hires Billy Flynn, the most skilled lawyer in Chicago.

Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse wrote Chicago, featuring John Kander's music.
