Catalan artists Sidonie, Lau Noah, and Balkan Paradise Orchestra to perform in New York
Musicians take part in Catalan Sounds on Tour organized in Central Park on July 28
From Barcelona and Reus to New York City's Central Park. Catalan artists Sidonie, Lau Noah, and Balkan Paradise Orchestra will be performing in the Big Apple, or the city that never sleeps, on July 28, during the fifth edition of the Catalan Sounds on Tour.
The event is part of the US city SummerStage festival and will also feature Catalan DJ Turmix, who currently lives in New York. He will play disco, house, and underground hits from 5 pm.
Event promoters such as Institut Ramon Llull, an entity that promotes Catalan culture abroad, work towards making it possible for local artists to perform on international stages.
SummerStage welcomes around 220,000 spectators to the different events taking place in Central Park and five other sites in New York.
Previous Catalan Sounds on Tour event singers include Queralt Lahoz, Marala, Lia Kali, Mishima, Txarango, Sílvia Pérez-Cruz, La Iaia, and Oques Grasses.
