Luis Enrique: Barça won't sit back in the game against Eibar

The Barça coach warned his squad about sitting back against Saturday's rival. He said Pedro will start but that the rest depends on the circumstances. "I'm only worried about the next opponent, Eibar, and their potential. They're playing well and could create problems," assured Luis Enrique in Friday's press conference, rather certain that the international stoppage won't have any affect on his players, any imminent records, or next week's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

Barcelona (FCB).- "I'm only worried about the next opponent, Eibar, and their potential. They're playing well and could create problems," assured Luis Enrique in Friday's press conference, rather certain that the international stoppage won't have any affect on his players, any imminent records, or next week's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

"I haven't seen anything like distractions or players relaxing. Not based on their training. One thing is whether or not they play well," he opined, adding that they are "totally focused on getting the three points. Records will eventually fall, but we just want to win."

Pedro to start

Quite unusually, he announced one of tomorrow's starters. "Pedro trained every day and will start," he offered. But he wouldn't say anything about the rest, just that other factors are at play. "We've got different matches in a short time frame, and we'll keep an eye on everything."

He called Eibar the "revelaton of the year," explaining that "they've had good results away from home and we expect more of the same: a team that can press, that have a plan, have good players, and are courageous."

He also talked about some of their injuries. Vermaelen, he said, is getting better, "but he needs to get stronger." Rafinha is ready to play but has to fine tune his body.
