FC Barcelona has unveiled its new kit for the 2024/2025 season, which marks the club's 125th anniversary.

The kit, which pays homage to the club's first ever kit from 1899, is divided into two halves, with one side featuring a red stripe with a blue sleeve and the other featuring a blue stripe with a red sleeve.

The center of the shirt features the club's crest alongside the Spotify sponsor logo.

The design is a departure from the iconic vertical red and blue stripes that have been a staple since their introduction in 1910.

The new kit was unveiled on Thursday in a promotional video on social media featuring Barcelona legends such as Ronaldinho, Andrés Iniesta and Carles Puyol.

The video highlights the club's history and traditions, featuring cultural elements such as Catalan human towers, food such as 'pa amb tomàquet' and 'croquetes,' and iconic sites such as the Sagrada Família basilica.

Current stars such as Lewandowski, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Rapinha and Alexia, Aitana, Rölfo and Mapi from the women's team also appear in the commercial.

Fans will be able to purchase the new kit from the official FC Barcelona store from today, with prices starting at €114.99 for adults and €94.99 for children.

However, the kit currently on sale will not be the one the players will wear when the season starts, an unprecedented situation.

The kit that the players will play with will have a different Spotify logo, without the text and just the isotype, according to Jijantes.

The club has said that the updated logo version of the kit is expected to be available in stores this fall.
