FC Barcelona assures Camp Nou construction on track with new images
Club installs 39,000 seats of future Spotify Camp Nou amid reports of delays

FC Barcelona assures that construction of the new Spotify Camp Nou is advancing on track, amid reports from several media outlets that the works are delayed and the club’s return to the stadium will be later than expected.
The club released several pictures showing updates of the stadium works, including the installation of 39,000 blue and maroon colored seats.

Despite the club's reassurances, concerns persist about potential further delays. The uncertainty surrounding the exact return date to Camp Nou has sparked debates after new reports were published on Thursday.
Local media outlet Betevé reported that some Camp Nou service providers have already been notified that their usual activity at the stadium will not start until November 2025, resulting in another delay for the opening of the Catalan club's stadium.
Though, Barça hit back at these rumors by publishing new photographs of the latest state of the works this Friday.

The images show several aspects of the construction, including the installation of 39,000 seats in the first and second tiers.
The pictures also show the preparatory works for laying the pitch. Both the heating and cooling systems are already installed, while the grass is expected to be laid in the coming months.
Though the exterior accesses to the stadium are finished, the third tier has to still be built from scratch. The roof of the stadium, as previously announced by the club, will not be seen before summer 2026.

The official date for culés to return to their iconic home remains uncertain.
The club insist that they still intend to play at least one match in the new Camp Nou before the end of this current season, although obtaining the necessary security licenses does not seem easy.
