FC Barcelona interested in hosting 2027 Women's Champions League final in Camp Nou
Catalan club expect works to be finished on new stadium by summer 2026
European football's governing body UEFA has confirmed it has received declarations of interest from six member associations to host the 2027 Champions League finals, including one from FC Barcelona to host the Women's Champions League final.
The declarations of interest are not binding, and the final proposals must be delivered with the bid dossiers by 19 March 2025.
Other expressions of interest have come from Poland: Warsaw, National Stadium, Switzerland: Basel, St Jakob Park, and Wales: Cardiff, National Stadium of Wales.
The men's final could be held in Azerbaijan: Baku, Baku Olympic Stadium, and Madrid, in Atletico Madrid's Estadio Metropolitano.
The UEFA Executive Committee will appoint the host associations of the two finals in May 2025. The bidding procedure for the selection of the venues to host the 2027 UEFA club competition finals was launched on 30 September 2024, with a 21 October 2024 deadline set for associations to express their interest.
Earlier this month, FC Barcelona announced that they plan to return to the Camp Nou before the end of the year, but with a reduced capacity of 62,000.
It's expected that construction on the new stadium will be fully finalized in the summer of 2026.
