Dani Alves, out of action for 6 to 8 weeks due to his clavicle injury
The FC Barcelona player underwent surgery on Wednesday afternoon to correct his fractured collarbone. Alves was injured the same morning during Barça first team’s training session.
Barcelona (FCB).- Dani Alves underwent surgery yesterday afternoon as he injured his collarbone during FC Barcelona first team’s training session held on Wednesday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva. Doctors Ricard Pruna and Carles Torrens, in collaboration with Mutua Egarsat, performed surgery on Dani Alves’s broken clavicle at Hospital de Barcelona on Wednesday afternoon. The player underwent complete coracoclavicular reconstruction via transosseous loop and end-to-end sutures.
The player will be out of action for six to eight weeks. Therefore the Brazilian defender will miss the King’s Cup Final on May 25 at the Vicente Calderón against Athletic Club.
