Coldplay to be featured on Barça jersey at El Clásico on October 26
British band's logo is inspired by their tenth album, 'Moon Music', released earlier this month
El Clásico is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the year, when the eternal rivals Barça and Madrid face off.
As has become a tradition since Barça's sponsorship deal with Spotify, the players will wear a jersey featuring a musical artist, as previously seen with Rosalía, The Rolling Stones and Karol G.
For this year's first El Clásico on October 26, the Blaugrana will wear the logo of British band Coldplay.
The logo on the jersey is inspired by the band's tenth album, Moon Music, which was released on October 4.
The Blaugrana have a special relationship with Coldplay, whose songs served as the soundtrack during the club's golden era in 2009.
Their hit song Viva la Vida became the anthem of the year as the club won every possible title under Pep Guardiola's management.
“We’re honoured that Spotify has chosen to feature our Moon Music design on the shirt of FC Barcelona. We’ve had a special relationship with the city and the club for many years," the band said.
Coldplay are the most streamed British band of all time on Spotify, with 11 tracks reaching over a billion streams each.
Two exclusive editions of the shirt will be available at Barça's official stores and online from October 18.
There will be 1,899 units of the match-quality jersey, along with a more exclusive edition of just 22 units, featuring a fluorescent effect and signed by the players.
The jersey will also be worn by the women’s team in their match against Eibar on November 2.
