United Airlines announces new flight connecting Barcelona and San Francisco
American company to fly non-stop until October
Barcelona has a new seasonal daily flight between Barcelona and San Francisco nonstop from Friday. The American company United Airlines will offer the destination until October.
The route will be served by a Boeing 777-200ER with 276 seats: 50 of them will have a bed option, 24 United Premium Plus seats, and 202 economy class seats.
This service will join the airline's current routes between Catalonia and New York (Newark Airport), and seasonal flights to Chicago and Washington.
United Airlines is the American airline connecting Catalonia with the West Coast of the United States. However, other airlines such as Level, fly between both territories.
"We are pleased to further expand our network with the introduction of this new flight to San Francisco and to be the only American airline to connect Barcelona directly to the West Coast of the United States," Antonio de Toro, United Airlines Spanish Sales Manager, said.
United Airlines has been operating flights to the Barcelona airport for 18 years, and it's the largest airline operating out of San Francisco International Airport.
