Sagrada Família completes 12th level of Tower of Jesus Christ, reaching 142.5 meters in height

The 12th tier of the Sagrada Família's tallest tower, the Tower of Jesus Christ, has been completed, bringing the total structure to a height of 142.5 meters.

This level marks the completion of the tower’s main body and signals the start of the final phase, the construction of the terminal topped with a cross, which is projected to be finished by the end of 2025.

The 12th level preserves the tower's distinctive geometry, featuring triangular windows that follow the shapes characteristic of Gaudí’s design.

This is also the last stage where stone will be the primary material. The terminal will use decorative elements and mosaics known in Catalan as trencadís.

The tower will have a stone staircase inside it that widens as it ascends, while the tower’s silhouette progressively narrows. This creates "a unique architectural effect," especially at this height, where the interior staircase aligns with the tower’s inner wall.

With this milestone reached, work begins on constructing the terminal with the cross—"one of the most anticipated elements of the project"—which is set for completion by late 2025.

Concert tickets raffle

On Friday, December 13 at 7 p.m., the traditional Christmas Concert will take place at the famous unfinished basilica.

This year, it will be performed by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and the Orfeó Català, under the baton of Salvador Brotons.

They will perform a selection of festive classics, such as The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, Händel's Messiah, The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss, and also various carols.

Like every Christmas, the Sagrada Família makes tickets available to the public to attend the concert and 350 pairs will be raffled this year.

To participate, people must fill out this form on the Sagrada Família website before 9 pm of December 8.
