Retired police officer allegedly kills two women before dying by suicide

Catalan police are investigating the violent deaths this Tuesday of two women and a man in Rubí and Castellbisbal, just inland from Barcelona.

One of the women was killed with a firearm in Rubí and the other in Castellbisbal, where the man was also found dead, who according to judicial sources died by suicide.

The two women were the partner and ex-partner of the alleged perpetrator, who was a retired police officer.

According to the courts, neither woman appears in the system as a previous victim of violence against women.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the northern metropolitan region of the Catalan police has taken over the investigation.

Medical emergency teams received the notice that there was a woman injured in a home in Rubí. Although she was initially found seriously injured, she has since passed away.

At the same time on Tuesday afternoon, the local police of Castellbisbal went to a residence in the town after receiving a warning from a family member and found a woman and man dead.
