Renfe to recover Barcelona-Marseille train connection this Friday
70,000 tickets to France sold since launching Lyon route two weeks ago
Spain's rail operator Renfe will recover on Friday the connection between Barcelona and Marseille.
It will be the first time that Renfe operates this route alone, as it once covered it with French rail company SNCF.
This comes only weeks after Renfe recovered the Barcelona - Lyon route.
The train will depart Madrid's Puerta de Atocha station at 1:25 pm on Friday, with stops at four Catalan Renfe stations: Camp de Tarragona, Barcelona-Sants, Girona, and Figueres Vilafant.
40,000 tickets have already been sold for Marseille, and 70,000 in general for both of the newly recovered Renfe routes.
There will be two trains from Barcelona to Lyon from Friday to Monday, but starting in October, there will be daily journeys, with a total of 28 circulations per week.
