Pre-enrolment for preschool, primary, and secondary school for 2025-2026 to open March 12-26

Pre-enrolment for preschool, primary and secondary school for the 2025-2026 school year will run from March 12 to 26.

The application process for preschool education (age 3-6) and primary education will begin on March 12, while secondary school pre-registration will start two days later, on March 14.

The list of applications with provisional scores will be published on April 24. Appeals can be submitted until April 29. 

Tiebreaker draws will take place on May 8, and the final order of applicants will be published the following day.

On June 16, the final list of pupils with assigned places will be published.

The pre-enrolment process applies to both public schools and 'concertada' schools – semi-private schools that receive public funding.

Private schools have their own individual enrolment processes.

In Catalonia, it is common for children to start preschool in September of the year in which they turn 3, although compulsory education is between the ages of 6 and 16.
