Spanish Guàrdia Civil police have recovered a watch worth €16,371 in Bordeaux, France, after it was taken from a passenger at the Barcelona airport security control on April 9.

The investigation started after the owner warned the law enforcement agents in the Catalan infrastructure that she had lost the watch after going through Terminal 1's security control in Barcelona.

After studying the situation, police saw a person taking the watch from the security control area through the cameras, and they followed the path to see they boarded a flight with Bordeaux as their destination.

French police helped localize the person, and after recovering the watch, Guàrdia Civil police returned it to the owner, who said the watch also has great emotional value.
