Police give go-ahead for rail and metro services to resume in Barcelona city center
Rail and metro services have resumed at Plaça Catalunya station in Barcelona city center after a false alarm over a bomb threat at around 5pm on Monday.
Police ordered the premises to be evacuated as a precaution after receiving a threat that a train coming from Viladecavalls was carrying a bomb.
Infrastructure management company Adif tweeted that lines R1, R3 and R4 of the Rodalies communter network were affected. The L1 metro stop was also closed.
Police investigated the train and verified that the threat was false and ordered services to resume before 5.30pm.
