Passenger arrested in Barcelona for sexually assaulting flight attendant

A 33-year-old male passenger was arrested upon landing at Barcelona El Prat Josep Tarradellas airport for allegedly sexually assaulting a flight attendant in early January.

The events took place on a flight between Seoul, South Korea, and the Catalan capital on January 4 when the perpetrator allegedly assaulted a flight attendant during the flight.

The flight attendant was preparing the meals in the kitchen when the passenger entered the area, jumped on her, and assaulted her.

One of the other cabin crew members saw what was happening and yelled to warn the other attendants.

As a precaution, the stewardess was moved to another area of the aircraft to avoid further contact with the Spanish national. He was arrested at the airport's Terminal 1 as the plane landed by Spain's Guàrdia Civil airport unit.
