The Palestinian community in Catalonia and the association 'Enough complicity with Israel' are urging people to take part in the protest organized on Sunday in Barcelona against Israel’s war in Gaza and Lebanon, marking one year of hostility and violence which followed Hamas’ attacks on October 7, 2023.

As announced on Tuesday, the demonstration will take place between Passeig de Gràcia and Diagonal in Barcelona at 12 pm on Sunday October 6.

Organizers said that the protest will demand the Spanish government to stop "selling weapons and military and security technology to Israel" and for it to "break all diplomatic, institutional, economic, sporting and cultural ties" with the country.

During the announcement of Sunday's protests, the associations unfolded an 80-meter-long banner with all the names of people killed during the last year to denounce the genocide committed by Israel: "They are people with names, not just numbers. And it is not only this list," Saif Abukeshek, spokesperson of the Palestinian community in Catalonia, said.
