Camel and several bulls escape from adventure park, cause road accident

One animal was injured and two vehicles affected by incident

A camel and several bulls escaped on Wednesday evening from an adventure park in Le Perthus, the first town north of the Spanish-French border, and caused an accident in La Jonquera, the last town before crossing the border.

The accident affected two vehicles driving on the N-II road, Catalan Mossos d'Esquadra police reported.

Police were warned of the dromedary camel and the cattle around 9:45 pm on Wednesday after the accident at kilometer-point 778 of the N-II road.

When law enforcement agents arrived at the site, they found a dromedary camel and two bulls, one on the floor and the other injured.

After the accident, the animals were returned to the adventure park.
