Man caught riding electric scooter on highway

A 23-year-old man was reported riding an electric scooter on the AP-7 highway, near Sant Gregori, a city close to Girona. 

Detected by the police on Thursday around noon, the owner of the electric scooter was also not wearing a helmet. 

The Catalan police observed him until they managed to escort him off the highway. 

Asked to drive back towards an urban area, the driver was also given a €200 fine. 

Electric scooters and scooters are not allowed on highways, or any road outside of urban centers.
