Life satisfaction among Catalans scores 6.9 out of 10, up half a point from last year
Public health, security, and sustainability considered main factors behind happiness
Life satisfaction among Catalans scores 6.9 out of 10, according to a new happiness index report created by the Catalan government to improve public policies.
The report has collected data from around 4,000 people and shows that seven out of ten respondents rate their happiness at seven or more out of ten points.
The result is an increase of half a point since last year when overall life satisfaction was 6.4 points. At the same time, respondents expect their happiness to increase to 7.1 points by next year.
According to the results, policies related to public health, citizen security, and sustainability contribute most to life satisfaction, while personal health and family are the most important personal factors to the respondents.
