Hundreds queue for days ahead of Harry Styles concert in Barcelona
Some fans have been camping for over a month ahead of Wednesday's show
Hundreds of UK singer Harry Styles' fans have been waiting for hours and even days ahead of Wednesday's concert at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, with some camping outside for over a month.
"We have spent two hours queueing under this heavy heat," Berta, a first-time Harry Styles-concert goer, told Catalan News. "We had some shade before, but now it is gone," a friend of hers, also named Berta, added.
They are planning to " lose their voice and have a great time."
While the two Bertas have been waiting for a mere few hours, Noa has been there since Tuesday at 7am. The heat "is totally awful, I am sweating," she told Catalan News. She hopes to have "the best night of my life."
That's similar to what Dessi said. She has been waiting in a lucky spot under the shade of a tree but says that "it is very warm, especially if you sit on the ground."
Further along the queue, Paula, who comes from the southern Spanish city of Seville, and who has been waiting for just a few hours, says that being there "is not a bad experience because there is a lot of enthusiasm, but it is very warm, and this is making people lose their enthusiasm."
While many have been waiting for hours and some for days, the main complications started recently.
This week, Catalonia is facing its hottest summer day so far this year, with thermometers reaching 40ºC in the western city of Lleida.
The former One Direction member will perform a solo concert in Barcelona, with thousands of people expected to enjoy the gig at the Olympic Stadium, which has a capacity of 55,000. Check how to get there in our guide.
Styles has been seen at the Soho House Barcelona Hotel over the past few days.
