Guardia Civil officers sue Catalan public radio news anchor
Spanish police officers accuse Mònica Terribas of putting police operations in danger and encouraging disorderly conduct
The Union of Guardia Civil officers has sued Catalan journalist and radio news presenter Mònica Terribas over allegations that she “endangered” police operations when she asked listeners to report on recent anti-referendum raids, thus “implicitly encouraging disorderly conduct”.
Terribas, one of Catalonia’s most well-known journalists, is the director and lead anchor of “El Matí de Catalunya Ràdio”, the morning daily news program on Catalan public radio.
