Girona Espai LGTBI reports homophobic attack on center
Rainbow-colored doors of headquarters located in Barri Vell completely destroyed
On Sunday, the Girona Espai LGTBI center reported a homophobic attack on its headquarters in the city's Barri Vell neighborhood as members awoke to find its rainbow-colored doors completely destroyed.
Espai LGTBI posted pictures of the aftermath on its Twitter and Facebook accounts, stating that they would not "take any steps backward in the face of fascism."
"We are not scared, we don't have anything to hide, we don't have closets and we don't have keys. We are diverse and we love who we want to the way that we want to," reads the text posted on the group's social media accounts.
Espai LGTBI has already filed a complaint against the incident which is thought to have taken place on Saturday night.
A similar attack took place at a Barcelona LGBTI center in January.
