Fire in Western Catalonia under control
The blaze has burnt 55 ha in Alcarràs, in the Segrià county, and also reached the Aragon region
A fire that started in Western Catalonia on Sunday afternoon is now under control after firefighters spent the night battling the flames.
The blaze was deemed as "stabilized" on Monday at 5.50 am, having burnt 55 ha of land in Alcarràs, in the Segrià county, and having also crossed the border with the Aragon region.
The fire approached two farms but firefighters managed to stop it before affecting any building or animal.
