Family of girl gang raped in shopping center to leave Badalona
11-year-old's brother had received death threats following the events
The family of the eleven-year-old girl who was raped by six boys in the Màgic shopping center in Badalona last November will leave the city between this week and next, according to journalist Anna Punsí and confirmed by sources to the Catalan News Agency.
The girl's brother had received death threats from the alleged rapists days after the events at the high school, and this was the trigger for the family's decision.
The girl's mother had to leave work to deal with the court proceedings and accompany her daughter to the psychiatrist, while also receiving help herself. The minor will give a statement to prosecutors in June.
The Badalona council's social services will help the family in the procedures, with the move, and with the change of school of the two children.
