Body found on Barcelona beach
The Catalan Police received the notification in the early hours of Sunday morning
The body of a deceased woman has been found on a Barcelona beach, as confirmed to the Catalan News Agency (ACN) by the Catalan Police.
The officers received the notification at 3:15am on Sunday morning and found the cadaver on the Somorrostro beach in the capital, in front of a popular dance club.
An investigation has been opened and officials are now awaiting the autopsy results for the victim, who sources have revealed was between the ages of 40 and 50.
Sources also said the woman had lesions around her neck which could have come from asphyxiation. No documentation was found on her.
