Barcelona L1 metro line closed between Sagrera and Glòries, April 12-13
L2 line between La Pau and Badalona-Pompeu Fabra also closed until April 21

During the weekend of April 12 to 13, service on Barcelona’s metro line L1 will be suspended between the stations La Sagrera and Glòries to improve accessibility at the station Clot.
Five new elevators will be installed to connect the concourse and platforms to improve accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.
The station’s vestibule will also be expanded, and special flooring will be added to assist visually impaired passengers.
Barcelona’s metro operator, TMB, has set up a special bus service to cover the affected section. This will run according to the regular metro schedule and is complemented by other metro lines and the regular bus network.
On Sunday, the last special bus will depart from the Glòries station at 0:33 am (technically Monday), and from La Sagrera at 00:18 am.
Renovation work on L2
Additionally, service on the L2 line between La Pau and Badalona-Pompeu Fabra has been suspended starting on Saturday and will remain closed until April 21, coinciding with Easter Week. Special shuttle buses will also run throughout the disruption to cover the section.
The last buses will depart from Badalona-Pompeu Fabra at 11.29 pm on weekdays, Sundays, and public holidays and at 1.29 pm on Fridays and holiday eves.
95% of metro stations have elevators
Barcelona’s metro network has a total of 163 stations, of which 155 - or 95% - are adapted for people with reduced mobility. The Catalan Ministry of Territory recently announced its intention to make all remaining stations accessible before the end of the current government term, which runs until 2028.
