Liam Hampson's friends took to social media to report his disappearance
Australian rugby player Liam Hampson fell to death in Barcelona's Sala Apolo nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday and was found by workers midday on Wednesday, Catalan Mossos d'Esquadra police confirmed to the Catalan News Agency (ACN).
The Redcliffe Dolphins player was traveling with a group of friends across Europe who reported his disappearance in an Instagram post early on Wednesday morning.
Hampson passed away after an accidental 10-meter fall in the nightclub located in the Poble-sec neighborhood.
During his European travel, the Redcliffe Dolphins player was accompanied by NRL player Alexander Brimson and Brisbane Broncos rugby players Jordan Riki and Jesse Arthars.
