Unions and Spain's transport ministry have reached an agreement to call off the planned strike among workers of Renfe, Spain's rail network.

The protest had been due to begin tomorrow, Friday November 24, as well as taking place on November 30, December 1, 4, and 5.

In Catalonia, up to 4,000 workers were called to protest against the transfer of control over the Rodalies commuter rail network to the Catalan authorities.

The Catalan government had established minimum services of 66% in peak hours in the suburbs and 33% during the rest of the services, and workers had planned to cancel up to 400 trains.

On Thursday, users reported that workers were already carrying out a "covert strike" as numerous delays were recorded.
