Opposition criticizes Catalan president’s Council for the Republic presentation in Brussels arguing he is “forgetting” the “real” problems Catalans face

Ciutadans (Cs) MP Nacho Martín Blanco thinks that Catalan president Quim Torra wants to create an “imaginary republic.”

In reference to the presentation of the Council for the Republic organization on Saturday in Brussels, Martín Blanco argued that Torra is “forgetting” the “real” problems that Catalans are facing.

“What more needs to happen for Sánchez to react?” the Cs MP asked, speaking of Spain’s president.

The event, held at the KVS Flemish Theater in Belgium, was attended by attended by the Catalan president as well as exiled leaders Carles Puigdemont, Toni Comín, Clara Ponsatí and Meritxell Serret.
