‘Oct 1, Anti-democratic Fraud’: 960 personalities sign manifesto against the referendum

“Oct 1, Anti-democratic Fraud.” This is the title of a manifesto signed by 960 Spanish intellectuals, artists and other professionals to protest the “anti-democratic conditions” of the Catalan independence referendum to be held on October 1. The text, published last Sunday by the Spanish newspaper El País, calls for a boycott of the vote.
