ETA announces ‘complete dissolution’ of structures
Basque terrorist group sends letter ahead of its official dissolution

The terrorist group ETA has informed civil society organizations in the Basque Country of its dissolution. In a letter sent on April 16 and published by the Spanish newspaper eldiarionorte.es on Wednesday, the organization puts an end to its decades-long armed struggle for independence, ahead of the planned official announcement of their dissolution.
“Through this communication, we want to inform you of the decision that Euskadi Ta Askatasuna [ETA] has made,” reads the statement, written in Basque and stamped with the organization’s logo.
