Jailed leaders demand to know trial start date with ‘enough' advance
Court considering delaying plans for a week until February 12
Some of the Catalan pro-independence jailed leaders have requested to the Supreme Court knowing with "enough time" in advance when their trial will kick off.
The court said few days ago that it was planning to start it "around" February 5, but less than a week before the due date there is no official confirmation of such date.
Thus three of the prosecuted officials have filed some requests to the judges demanding a longer notice period.
For grassroots leader Jordi Cuixart's defense, less than a week notice is "not enough" to prepare the defense with guarantees."
