Tom Hanks at rainy second Bruce Springsteen concert in Barcelona
The Boss ends stop in Catalan capital after gathering over 100,000 spectators and several celebrities
Bruce Springsteen gave his second and last concert in Barcelona's Olympic Stadium on Sunday evening.
The rain did not prevent thousands of people from queuing for hours before entering the venue – overall more than 100,000 people attended the American author's gigs in Estadi Olímpic.
On Sunday, 'The Boss' repeated the three-hour concert of Friday with the same length and energy, and his plans did not change despite the showers.
American actor Tom Hanks attended the event on Sunday, along with his wife, also actor Rita Wilson.
The couple celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in the Catalan capital.
Hanks and Wilson were the main celebrities attending Springsteen's second concert, and followed the footsteps of former US president Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, and filmmaker Steven Spielberg and his wife, actor Kate Capshaw, on Friday.
The four of them visited several sightseeing places across Barcelona and Catalonia during the weekend, including Moco Museum and Sagrada Família on Friday, and Montserrat mountain on Saturday – Barack Obama left for Zürich on Saturday, but his wife and Spielberg remained in the Catalan capital for longer and reportedly visited the Picasso Museum on Sunday.
The two couples, along with Bruce Springsteen, famously had dinner together in Amar restaurant on Thursday evening.
