Spain's rail operator sells more than two million discount tickets for youth travel

Renfe has sold more than two million discounted tickets for young people between 18 and 30 years old to travel around Spain and Europe.

The offering available is to travel between July 1 and September 30, 2024.

The 'Youth Summer' campaign started last June 19 and since then, an average of more than 32,000 tickets have been sold daily.

During this period, Spain's rail operator sold almost the same number of tickets as in the full edition of the discount campaign last year. In 2023, some 2.1 million tickets were sold between June 6 and September 15.

The two million tickets sold this year represent a 46% increase compared to the same period last year.
