Unfortunate news for Barcelona-based Eurovision lovers: the highly anticipated Eurovision party, which was set to celebrate ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, has been cancelled due to difficulties in securing a suitable venue in the city.

''We understand how disappointing this news is, and we sincerely apologize to the Eurovision community for not being able to bring the magic of our event to you this year,'' BCNEurovision issued in an official statement on Instagram.

The event, organized ahead of last year's Eurovision Song Contest, was visited by more than 6.000 people over the span of three days. The festival was well-known for welcoming current and former Eurovision signers on stage to perform in the Catalan capital.

Despite the sad news of this year's cancellation, BCNEurovision assures fans that they are ''working hard to come back in 2026 with the biggest and most affordable Barcelona Eurovision party yet.''

People in the comments are leaving heartbreak emoji's and say they're looking forward to next year's edition.

The first party in Barcelona was held in 2022 with performances by 2014 winner Conchita Wurst and 2002 participant Rosa Lopez.
