Sartoria Panatieri in Barcelona named third best pizzeria in world

The Barcelona pizzeria Sartoria Panatieri was named the third best in the world by the internationally renowned 50 Top Pizza Ranking guide. In 2022, Sartoria Panatieri, ranked 21 in the same list.

The first prize this year is shared by Italian restaurants 10 Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria and I Masanielli. 

The victory is the third big one this year for owners Rafa Panatieri and Jorge Sastre, after obtaining the Best Pizza in Europe award and being acknowledged for their grilled cherry tomato sauce with mozzarella and basil by the same guide in May.

On their Instagram, the owners of the Gràcia-based pizzeria describe the win as a "milestone" in their journey since opening the restaurant in 2018. 

The philosophy that helped Santoria Panatieri reach the third spot is "From farm to pizza." The idea, according to the chefs, is to select all the ingredients and producers to ensure top quality both in product and sustainability. 

Santoria Panatieri has two locations in Barcelona,  Carrer Encarnació, 51 in the neighborhood of Gràcia, and Carrer Provença, 330 in the Eixample neighborhood, with both serving lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Best Top 50 Bars in the World

Pizza, bars, Barcelona is full of 'Best of' around the world, as in early October 2022, Paradiso, the creative cocktail bar from Barcelona's Born district, was been named the best bar in the world in the prestigious World's 50 Best Bars ranking.

Two other establishments from the Catalan capital were also named in the top ten of the list for 2022: Sips and Two Schmucks.

The rankings were announced at an awards ceremony on October 4, in the Catalan capital, taking place in Barcelona for the first time.
