Nine new Michelin-starred restaurants join Catalonia’s culinary elite
Catalonia's five three-star restaurants maintain their top status
Nine new restaurants in Catalonia have been awarded a Michelin Star for the first time in the 2025 edition of the guide.
Four Barcelona restaurants received the prestigious honor: Fishology, Mae Barcelona, Prodigi, and Teatro Kichen & Bar.
The other five new additions to the guide in Catalonia are Citrus del Tancat in Alcanar, Casanova in Sant Martí Sarroca, Divinum in Girona, Esperit Roca in Sant Julià de Ramis, and Voramar in Portbou.
All five three-star restaurants maintained their three stars: ABaC, Cocina Hermanos Torres, Disfrutar, Lasarte, and the veteran of the category, Celler de Can Roca in Girona.
In total, 62 Catalan restaurants were awarded a total of 77 Michelin Stars at the gala held in Murcia on Tuesday night.
It was a somewhat disappointing night for Moments in Barcelona, losing one of its two stars, while Xerta, also in Barcelona, lost the star it held.
The ceremony featured several tributes to the victims of the floods in Valencia and elsewhere last month.
Green star for sustainability
Four restaurants in Catalonia were awarded a Green Star for sustainability: Bistrot 1965 in Castelló d'Empúries, Espacio Amunt in Ulldecona, La Boscana in Bellvís, and Restaurant 1497 in Vallromanes.

The Barcelona restaurants that were awarded their first Michelin star are Fishology, with Ricccardo Radice at the helm; Mae, by the duo of Germán Espinosa and Diego Mondragón; Prodigi, by Jordi Tarré; and Teatro Kitchen & Bar, by Oliver Peña.
