Barcelona (ACN).- As from January 25th the 9th Edition of the independent fashion show 080 will kick off in Barcelona. The show will run until the 28th and throughout these four days the audience will see the fall-winter 2012/2013 collections of prestigious brands and designers such as Desigual, Pierre Cardin or Mango, among others. The 080 Barcelona Fashion Week starts the exciting fashion season that lies ahead over the coming weeks. At a time when the major fashion capitals like Paris, Milan or New York are preparing to show off new collections from the world’s most well-known designers, Barcelona has opted for independent creative talents in the fashion arena.
Barcelona, city of fashion and new designers
The catwalk aims to turn Barcelona and Catalonia into a reference for fashion, innovation and design. Thanks to this initiative, the Catalan Government and Barcelona City Council want to create an international platform to promote the careers of new designers, as well as to consolidate Barcelona as a city that lives for fashion. That is why the event will have such a unique stage with the Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), in the centre of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, playing host for four days to collections from the next fall-winter season in five different buildings.
TCN launches 080
The brand TCN will kick start the 080 Barcelona Fashion fair, on Wednesday 25th at 5p.m. TCN will host an evening cocktail for those lucky enough to have an invitation. The Catalan brand will be hosting a pyjama party, with Fifties’ style lingerie, corsetry and home wear alongside collections from Josep Abril, Celia Vela, Karlotalaspalas, Montse Liarte and Alexis Reyna.
Mango, the star of Thursday
