Some of the world's most popular food a travel influencers are being taken on a gastro tour of Catalonia, with the idea of selling traditional Catalan cuisine to the world.

Around 40 digital content creators got to know the basics of Catalan eats at a food and wine day in the Món Sant Benet hotel, which boasts a Michelin starred restaurant within it, located in the central area of Sant Fruitós de Bages.

Among the first dishes they were introduced to to get to know Catalonia were pa amb tomàquet (bread soaked in tomato), calçot sauce, and how to drink wine from a porró.

Until Saturday, the group of travel and gastronomy influencers will go on different trips to different corners of Catalonia to discover first-hand the gastronomic wealth and diversity of the country.

The campaign, organized by the Catalan Tourism Agency, is that the group will publish what they find on their social media accounts, with a target of generating 6 million impressions and 70,000 interactions.

The event is all part of Catalonia's distinction of World Region of Gastronomy 2025.
