Gaudí's Casa Vicens celebrates Festes de Gràcia with discounted tickets
Free workshops from August 15 to 21
Casa Vicens, designed by Catalan art nouveau architect Antoni Gaudí, will be celebrating the Festes de Gràcia next week just like everyone else in the Barcelona neighborhood.
The house opened its doors back in 2017 after being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005 and is seen as the first major project by Gaudí, who also designed the Sagrada Família, Casa Milà, and Casa Batlló in the Catalan Capital.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a 20% ticket discount by using the FMGRACIA code during the local festivities from August 15 to 21.
This is only applicable to the Guided Tour, Summer Vicens, Casa Vicens Visit, Visit with photo session, and Open Date tickets purchased online at casavicens.org, which also provides a €2 discount on tickets bought a week in advance.
Located at 20-26 Carrer de les Carolines street near the Fontana metro station on the green line, the building is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm.
In addition to discounted tickets, passersby taking in the sight of Gràcia's decorated streets during the 'Festa Major' are invited to take part in workshops in which they will be able to design their own carnation tiles similar to those found in Casa Vicens.
The workshop will take place twice a day, at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm, on Mozart, Providència, Fraternitat de Baix, and Joan Blanques streets as well as Plaça de la Vila and Plaça del Nord squares.
