Barcelona's Majestic Hotel SOLC restaurant joins Michelin guide
New addition reinforces Catalan presence in gourmet cuisine
The Restaurant SOLC of the historic Majestic Hotel in Barcelona has been included in the Michelin guide for the year 2024.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel and offers a combination of traditional Catalan dishes and avant-garde cuisine.
The menu changes with each season and is designed by the chef David Romero with the advice of the chef Nandu Jubany.
The vegetables used in the dishes grow in the restaurant's own patch in Maresme, and are freshly cooked.
Catalonia and Barcelona have a long history of Michelin-starred restaurants with 70 restaurants being granted one, two, or three stars in the ceremony honoring the best restaurants in the country.
Recently, the Barcelona restaurant Disfrutar won its third Michelin star and was included in the Michelin Guide 2024 selection for Spain, and it won the award for World's Best Restaurant according to the popular ranking 'The World's 50 Best Restaurants'.
