Barcelona’s 080 Fashion show recovers in-person format
30th edition of event will begin on October 24
The 30th edition of Barcelona’s 080 Fashion show will welcome citizens to an in-person event after organizing previous catwalks online because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event will begin on October 24, as the Catalan labor ministry announced on Friday.
This will be the first edition in-person after the last four were all done online. Organizers wanted to celebrate the anniversary of the fashion show "with Catalan residents," a statement reads.
The 080 Barcelona Fashion is an open and international fashion platform that pushes Barcelona into the world of creativity. The show also has a strong connection with art and architecture.
Early this year, there was an online edition that started with catwalks from brands such as Avellaneda, KM by Lange, Reveligion, and Custo Barcelona.
April’s edition, which was still online, used Catalonia’s National Art Museum’s steps as the place to host the fashion show.
In 2021, the 080 Barcelona Fashion took to the city and also organized a 100% digital event. At that time, however, they decided to use the city's famous modernist building la Pedrera-Casa Milà, designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí as its backdrop.
