Barcelona hosts first online entertainment festival with major internet stars
Event from July 1 to 3 features streamers Ibai, TheGrefg, Cristinini, and DjMaRiiO
The Catalan capital will be home to some of the biggest internet stars from July 1 to 3. Barcelona will host, for the first time, the Ubeat Live online entertainment festival in the Fira de Gran Via exhibition center.
Attendees will get to enjoy some of the most prominent Spanish online content creators such as Ibai Llanos, TheGrefg, Cristinini, and DjMaRiiO. Llanos will be in charge of presenting the second edition of the Balloon World Cup on July 3 after breaking a Twitch world record by getting 3.4 million spectators during his ‘La velada del año 2’ online event.
On July 3, festival-goers will get to enjoy the qualifiers to choose Spain’s representative at the Balloon World Cup, a competition consisting of playing with a balloon and making sure it does not fall on the floor.
The festival for Gen Z will also welcome other internationally renowned streamers such as TheGrefg, one of the most popular figures on the streaming platform, Twitch, where he has 10 million followers. TheGrefg will feature as a guest in the Club 113 by iVoox podcast hosted by Nil Ojeda, Goorgo, and Werlyb.
Cristinini, a female streamer in a male-dominated world, will do a live program of the ‘Hoy No Se Sale by iVoox’ radio show on Friday. She is one of the most followed content creators in Spain and the Catalan streamer with the largest fandom.
Cristinini will be accompanied by Axozer, one of the emerging Twitch stars, and the already famous Yointerneto team formed by Cheeto, Orslok, and Darío Eme Hac.
On Saturday, it will be the big day for video games, as DjMaRiiO, one of the most followed youtubers in the world with eight million subscribers, and the most popular FIFA football game player, will attend the show.
Others going to the Ubeat Festival are eSports clubs content creators that will do activities, meet and greets, and raffles among those attending, including Leviathan and Hitbox (Giants), Perxitaa (Movistar Riders), Kam1 (UCAM Tokiers), Alvaro845 and Withzack (Formatge team), Starwraith and Welyb (Heretics), and others.
Professional eSports players, Th3Antonio (Giants), Myrwn (BISONS ECLUB), Deadly (Barça eSports), Koldo (Finetwork KOI), Miniduke (CASI Esports), and Dahvys (Rebels Gaming) will also compete on the stage.
