Twenty One Pilots bring their unique musical blend to Barcelona
American duo performs at Palau Sant Jordi on their Clancy World Tour

Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun share a unique musical talent. Both perform a blend of alternative rock, electronic pop, alternative hip-hop, rap, indie rock, and pop rock. Although their names may not be well-known to outsiders in the music industry, they are recognized worldwide.
Twenty One Pilots.
A bit past 9:00 pm on a Tuesday and after several days of holidays, thousands filled up a busy Palau Sant Jordi hall to sing, dance, and enjoy for over two hours full of music.
The American duo performed in Barcelona for the first time on Tuesday, following their appearance in Madrid on Monday as part of their Clancy World Tour. This was the ninth concert tour of the group, although it was the first time they had ever performed in Barcelona. In this year's tour, they presented their seventh studio album, Clancy, released last year.
Twenty One Pilots are best known for 'Stressed Out,' 'Ride,' and 'Heathens.' A decade after releasing these songs, these were among the most anticipated hits in the Catalan capital. And while the American duo performed, just next door, at the Olympic Stadium, thousands cheered for FC Barcelona playing against Mallorca. "Barcelona, you look amazing tonight. Thanks for coming here instead of the football game," Joshua said.
'Overcompensate' led the chants as the clock ticked to 9:00 pm. The Palau Sant Jordi remained in a state of constant excitement until the end of the gig, which concluded past 11:15 pm. This is one of the most famous songs from the latest studio album, 'Clancy.'
And it was followed by 'Holding On to You' from their 2011 album 'Regional at Best.' At the moment, the public went crazy when, just a few minutes into the concert, Joseph stood on a small platform set between the first rows of the crowd.

Confetti, music, fireworks, and spectacular light shows followed, bringing joy to the thousands of standing spectators and those in the stands, who quickly stood up and started dancing. The musicians also performed on smaller individual stages on the floor, positioned closer to the back of the music hall.
However, they mainly performed on a large black stage, accompanied by large LED screens, a piano, and drums at the beginning. But midway through the concert, the stage was utterly transformed into a completely different one, featuring fire.
And just to the surprise of everyone, at the end of the fourth song, 'Car Radio,' Joseph appeared on one of the higher level stands very far away from the stage, singing by himself.
The concert featured a blend of songs from various albums, reminding all attendees that the group has consistently mixed styles throughout their career. Some of the songs heard are part of the 2015 album 'Blurryface,' and the 'Heathens' hit from the 2016 movie soundtrack 'Suicide Squad: The Album.'
And while the musicians took walked around the floor several times, it was at the end of the show, when both sang from the middle of the crowd to the rhythm of the 2011 song, 'Trees.'
PS: Barça won against Mallorca 1–0, so it turns out, it was all excitement at Barcelona's Olympic ring on Tuesday night.
