Urban pop duo The Tyets have surpassed one million monthly streams on Spotify, the first artists to sing mainly in Catalan to do so.

The group, made up of Oriol Ramon and Xavier Coca from Mataró, tweeted a screenshot showing them reaching the milestone on Wednesday.

Their song 'Coti x Coti,' has been streamed more than 7.5 million times. It combines reggaeton with sardana, a type of traditional Catalan music that accompanies a dance of the same name.

Other tracks from their second album 'Épic Solete' (Luup Records) have reached more than 4.5 million plays on Spotify, in the case of 'De l'1 al què,' and more than 3.6 million, for 'Bailoteo.'
