Sting, Fonsi, Nile Rodgers: Cap Roig festival line-up revealed
Liam Gallagher, Ben Harper, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, and David Bisbal among big names to play at event's 19th edition, from July 12 to August 21
Sting, Ben Harper, Liam Gallagher, and Nile Rodgers are among the top international artists scheduled to appear in this summer's 19th Cap Roig music festival.
On Friday, the festival's organizers announced the line-up for the event due to take place from July 12 to August 21, which will feature 13 acts from abroad and 10 from Spain.
Other names topping the bill will be Maluma, Luis Fonsi, Diana Krall and Jorge Drexler, along with Sílvia Pérez Cruz, David Bisbal, Ramon Mirabet and Aitana.
Along with the 23 international and domestic acts featuring at this year's festival, there will be two family nights with shows by illusionist Mag Lari and television's ‘La Família del Super3.’
Maluma to kick off festival
The festival kicks off with Latin urban music idol, Maluma, and this year's event has a number of Latin American acts, such as Colombians Morat, Jorge Drexler and Luis Fonsi.
Along with veterans, such as Sting and Gallagher, also among the international acts at the festival will be British boy band, The Vamps, presenting their fourth album.
From Catalonia, as well as Pérez Cruz and Mirabet, will be Álvaro Soler, with a number of Spanish acts, including Pastora Soler, Rozalen, Taburete, Vanesa Martin, Aitana and Ainhoa Arteta.
This year, the festival held in the Gardens of Cap Roig, in Calella de Palafrugell, has invested some of its 3.6-million-euro budget in new lighting for the venue.
According to the organizers, a total of 46,350 tickets will go on sale for the festival from March 4, at an average price of 52.2 euros.
