Stay Homas take to the stage for first live show
Barcelona group who wowed the world during lockdown swap their terrace for Teatre Grec
Stay Homas, the Barcelona group that wowed the world with songs from their balcony during lockdown, performed their first live show on Thursday as part of the city's Grec Festival.
The open-air Teatre Grec was furnished with deck chairs, house plants and homemade percussion as the trio transferred "the essence of the terrace to the stage."
Tickets for the gig sold out in 15 minutes, with those who managed to get tickets treated to a whopping 24 songs in almost as many genres, and sung in a mix of languages including English, Catalan, Spanish and Portuguese.
Just as in many of their videos that made them famous, the trio of Klaus Stronik, Ray Benet and Guillem Boltó were joined on Thursday by various collaborators, among them Judit Neddermann, Sr. Wilson, Lia Kali and the singers from Zoo and La Raíz.
Stay Homas perform again on Friday evening, bring Festival Grec to a close.
Fans that didn't get to see them on this on occasion will have to take advice from the band's most famous song, which was even covered by Canadian superstar Michael Bublé. They 'Gotta be Patient' as the group is now planning an international tour from April to June next year, around Europe and Latin America.
